JORHAT, April 2 - The Jorhat Regional Centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University here will hold the regional convocation of the university at the Jorhat Science Centre and Planetarium auditorium on April 3 from 10.30 am onwards.
A press note issued by the IGNOU Jorhat Regional Centre stated that the Vice-Chancellor of Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University Dr Dr Hitesh Deka is scheduled to grace the occasion as the chief guest and deliver the convocation address.
The note said that the students who successfully completed their programmes in December 2017 and June 2018 terms and examinations will be eligible to get their original certificates in the function.
The note further stated that the Vice-President of India M Venkiah Naidu is scheduled to attend the main convocation of IGNOU at the university�s headquarter in New Delhi on the same day.
