GUWAHATI, Nov 21 - The coordination committee of Electricity Employees, Engineers and Pensioners organised a trade union convention against the privatisation of Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) today at the ASEB Pensioners Bhawan here.
Joint convener Pramod Chandra Das raised a draft resolution in this regard during the convention.
The members from several trade union organisations including CITU, AITUC, JCTU and BSNL among others participated in the convention.
The coordination committee, during the convention, also urged all to protest unitedly in the nationwide protest to be held on November 26 against privatisation of the power sector.
