Contributions to fight COVID-19 continue

GUWAHATI, April 20 - In response to the appeal made by the Government of Assam to all citizens and organisations to extend a helping hand to the fight against the spread of COVID-19, employees of Cotton University have donated one day�s salary to the Assam Arogya Nidhi.

The university�s Vice Chancellor Prof Bhabesh Chandra Goswami has donated one month�s gross salary for the purpose, said a statement.

An amount of Rs 16,69,971 in total has been contributed by the employees to the Assam Arogya Nidhi.

Meanwhile, Rupkonwar Kala Parishad of Rani has contributed Rs 10,000 to the Nidhi.

Residents of the Bharalu View Housing Society, Santipur, have also donated Rs one lakh to the Chief Minister�s Relief Fund.
