Contributions for fight against CoViD-19

GUWAHATI, April 6 - The Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB) today contributed Rs 10 lakh to the Assam Arogya Nidhi as part of its commitment to stand by the people of Assam in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

A cheque against the amount was handed over to Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Minister of Finance, Health and Family Welfare, PWD, Education etc., by Chairman of the bank Upendra Sabar at the office of National Health Mission, Guwahati. Ramkrishna Sarma Regional Manager, Guwahati region and Dipankar Baruah, Chief Manager, Personnel, of the bank were also present on the occasion.

Receiving the cheque, Dr Sarma thanked the bank for its proactive participation in this hour of crisis and its commitment towards the people of Assam.

Meanwhile, city-based businessman Shiva Harlalka handed over a cheque of Rs 11 lakh to Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as contribution to the Assam Arogya Nidhi in Guwahati on Sunday.
