GUWAHATI, Aug 18 - The retired officers of the United Bank of India (UBI) through the United Bank Retired Officers� Association, North Eastern Zonal Council, contributed an amount of Rs 1,36,000 to the Chief Minister�s Relief Fund for the flood affected people of the State.
Apart from the members stationed in various North Eastern states, some members from West Bengal and Maharashtra have also contributed to such a noble cause.
The representatives of the association under the stewardship of Partha Pratim Dutt, zonal secretary, handed over the cheque to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at the Brahmaputra Guest House here today.
