BONGAIGAON, Sept 23 - Hundreds of people, including students, registered a protest against a private construction company on NH-31 at Chaprakata area in Bongaigaon district.
The Gayatri (ECI-JV) construction company got the contract for building a flyover. However, according to the locals, the company did not keep passage for commuters under the flyover constructed at Chaprakata.
The protesters demanded a proper route under the flyover for their convenience, threatening to go for a stern protest again. However, the company officials said that they followed the design and structure of the flyover made by National Highway Authority.
