IMPHAL, Nov 26 - Constitution Day was observed in the State by Manipur University National Service Schemes (NSS) Cell here today. Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor of Manipur University Prof HNK Sharma stressed the importance of internalising the provisions of Indian Constitution.
He asked students and research scholars to arm themselves with the knowledge of Indian Constitution and its provisions in order to confront any injustice.
November 26 was declared as Constitution Day to spread awareness about the its architect Dr BR Ambedkar. The Day was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after laying the foundation stone of Dr Ambedkar Memorial on October 22 last.
