AIZAWL, Nov 4 - Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) and its ally Mizoram People�s Conference (MPC) would contest all the seats for the coming general election to the 19-ward Aizawl Municipal Corporation (AMC) to be held on November 26.
MPCC yesterday announced names of 20 candidates for the 19 seats, including women for the reserved seats. With the declaration of one seat as free zone where the two parties will field their own candidates, MPC would contest in six wards while the Congress would field 15 candidates.
BJP and Zoram Nationalist Party (ZNP) combine under National Democratic Alliance (NDA) banner is yet to announce their candidates for the AMC polls. �The NDA will announce its candidate for Aizawl North-III Assembly bypoll today and for AMC polls on Thursday�, ZNP youth wing president Lalmuanpuia Punte said.
