AIZAWL, April 8 � Mizoram People�s Congress Youth Wing (MPCY) has strongly opposed religious discrimination and act of vandalism on Christian churches in the country.

The meeting of MPCY office bearers on April 6 discussed religious discrimination and the present political situation of Mizoram. The meeting decided that a memorandum shall be submitted to President Pranab Mukherji when he visits Mizoram.

2 ultras arrested in Manipur

Imphal, April 8 � Two militants, including a woman cadre, have been arrested from two separate districts in Manipur. A woman cadre of United National Liberation Front (UNLF) was arrested from Maharabi in Imphal West district last week and a People�s Liberation Army (PLA) cadre was arrested by a combined team of Thoubal police and Assam Rifles from Ngariyan hill on Monday last, a police official said. � PTI

Militant shot dead

Imphal, April 8 � A militant was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Saichang village in Senapati district, police said. The militant was a cadre of Kuki National Front (N) and was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Saichang under Yairipok police station area on Monday. The body has been sent to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) hospital for postmortem, sources added. � PTI
