NEW DELHI, March 18 - The Congress on Monday released its second list of candidates for the Lok Sabha polls opting to renominate sitting MP Biren Singh Engti for Diphu seat in Karbi Anglong.

With this, the Congress has announced candidates for 10 Lok Sabha seats. The third list is likely to be finalised on March 19, when the Central Election Committee will meet. The party is still searching for a candidate for the prestigious Guwahati seat, which goes to poll in the third phase.

The Congress has fielded its political heavy weight Bhubaneswar Kalita for Mangaldai seat, MGVK Bhanu for Tezpur seat, Pradyut Bordoloi for Nagaon and Anil Borgohain for Lakhimpur seat.

The BJP, meanwhile, is likely to release its first list of candidates for Assam on Tuesday, sources said.
