GUWAHATI, Oct 28 - The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) will stage a protest rally at Numaligarh on October 30 against the Centre�s proposal to privatize BPCL/NRL.
APCC secretary Rhituporna Konwar said here today that the event is part of the opposition party�s efforts to mobilise public opinion against the proposed privatisation and force the government to give up the plan.
Former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, APCC president Ripun Bora, all the Congress MPs and MLAs, and other senior leaders, will take part in the event.
