By Correspondent

DIMAPUR, Sept 28 With Congress deciding not to field any candidate for the by-election to Northern Angami-II Assembly constituency in Nagaland scheduled for October 15, the seat will witness straight fight between NPF and BJP.

While ruling NPF has set up Dr Neiphrezo Keditsu, son-in-law of former Chief Minister and current Lok Sabha MP Neiphiu Rio, BJP has fielded retired bureaucrat Visasolie Lhoungu to contest from the seat which fell vacant after the former Chief Minister was elected to the Lok Sabha in general elections in May this year.

Lhoungu filed his nomination papers at the office of DC & Returning Officer, Kohima on Friday. Stand by candidate Neisakholie Rupreo also filed his nomination papers in presence of BJP leaders of the State.

Zeliang said the contest will be a friendly one.
