GUWAHATI, July 14 - A day after tendering his resignation to the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly, Congress legislator from Baithalangso Dr Mansingh Rongpi today alleged that the party�s �directionless� sojourn has prompted his decision.
�It is a party with a lot of confusion,� he said addressing media-persons alongside Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and a couple of BJP leaders from Karbi Anglong.
Dr Rongpi is all set to join the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the State and had already resigned from the primary membership of the Congress party.
Asked if more such switchover could be expected, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, �Till Rahul Gandhi is there, nothing good can happen to Congress.�
