GUWAHATI, Dec 11 - Congress leaders and workers in the State today welcomed the election of Rahul Gandhi as president of the party and expressed determination to continue the political struggle under the leadership of the Gandhi scion.
Congress workers formed a human chain at the GS Road from Rajib Bhawan to Bhangagarh to express solidarity with Gandhi.
Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora, former Chief Minister Bhumidhar Barman, Deputy Leader of Congress Legislature Party Rakibul Hussain, among others, participated in the event.
