NAGAON, Dec 3 - Congress party now is just as like the old Rs 500 notes. No shopkeeper will give any importance to the old notes, the State Minister for Health, Finance, PWD etc., Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Monday here at Nagaon while addressing a party election rally held at Deodhor in Nagaon Sadar constituency.
Dr Sarma said that Congress party has failed to draw the attention of even a single employee of the State government. Pointing out the recent reforms in the APSC, Dr Sarma said that during the days of the Congress, a job under APSC for a son or daughter of poor rickshaw puller or cart pusher was just a dream. Earlier, he addressed two other election rallies at Kaliabor and Kothiatoli Chariali in Nagaon district. The local MLA Rupak Sarma was also present in the rally at Deodhor in Nagaon.
