NEW DELHI, Feb 2: The AICC on Tuesday held a brainstorming session with select leaders of Assam Congress to review its election preparedness and formulate the party’s strategy.

The meeting discussed about our strategy for election campaigning, progress of the manifesto committee, etc. All technical points were discussed.

About the dissatisfaction among MLAs, he said that it is natural because there are many contenders for party tickets and those who do not get tickets will naturally be dissatisfied.

“Himanta Biswa Sarma dreams about Bangladesh. Ghost of Bangladesh is chasing Himanta. Our target is 101+,” Bora asserted.

All issues will be discussed with the alliance partners, he said, declining to comment on statement by alliance partners.

Lok Sabha MP Pradyut Bordoloi told newsmen that the meeting was held with chairman of the Committees to discuss their strategy. “We discussed about how the campaign is to be taken forward and how party proposes to reach the people,” he added.

Stating that there are no differences within the party and the party is working towards making the grand alliance a success. “We have to defeat the design of the BJP and the bid to destroy the social fabric by the ruling party,” he said.
