GUWAHATI, Oct 21 - Members of Confluence �56, an organisation of the GU matriculates of 1956 batch, at a meeting held here today with its president Dr BR Bhuyan in the chair, deeply mourned one of the organisation�s secretaries Benoy Bhusan Chowdhury, who expired on October 20, said a press release.
Secretary of the organisation Dr Manjumala Das, while condoling Chowdhury�s demise, briefly mentioned his amiable nature and his contributions to society. An M Tech from Roorkee, he diligently served the Assam State Electricity Board till his retirement from its top post, she added.
Members of Confluence �56 prayed for eternal peace of the departed sacred soul of Chowdhury and shared the grief of the bereaved family, the release added.
