LUMDING, Jan 17 � People of Lumding in general and railway employees in particular are deeply concerned over the fate of railway trackman Rajesh Konwar (46), originally from Salna Tea Garden in Nagaon, who remains traceless ever since he boarded the Avadh Assam Express on December 7 last.
Konwar has been working as Railway Trackman at Manderdisa, living in the quarter No.E/B(4). He was accompanied by one Ajoy Das, son of Rakhal Das, a resident of Manderdisa, while travelling to Deoria in UP, by Avadh Assam Express on December 7. While Das returned on December 21, Konwar is yet to come back.
When Das was asked by Konwar�s wife about her husband�s whereabouts, he replied that Konwar had left from Lumding to Deoria on December 9 by Avadh Assam Express.
Concerned, Konwar�s wife Padma then filed a case with the local police at Manderdisa, Dima Hasao, GRP Thana and Local Thana, Lumding. She has also apprised the Railway Authority about the matter.
