Computerised land records introduced in Rangiya

By CORRESPONDENT

RANGIYA, Sept 16 The State Governments Land Records Computerisation Software system known as Dharitri was formally introduced in Rangiya subdivision on September 13.

The scheme was successfully implemented at the Rangiya Revenue Circle. Dharitri is a completely web-enabled system of the Revenue department meant to do away with the drawbacks of the traditional system of keeping land records in registers like Chitha (plot-wise details) and Jamabandi (patta wise ownership).

Keeping in view the necessity of e-governance for good administration, the State Government introduced the system.

Kamrup Deputy Commissioner SK Roy inaugurated the system at a function held on the circle office premises here in the presence of government officials including ADC, Kamrup K Baishya, SDO (Civil) CD Singha, SDC D Saud and others. The DC, in his speech, called upon all to take advantage of the benefits of e-governance introduced by the State Government. The system eventually will promote faster, accurate and less timeconsuming official process in this regard, the DC stated.
