GUWAHATI, June 18 - One Saidur Rahman has filed a complaint with the Police Commissioner, Guwahati against an Odisha-based NGO Mahatma Gandhi Global Peace Foundation alleging that the NGO used to provide fake honorary doctorate degree for Rs 5,000.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Barun Purkayastha said that a case been registered in connection with the complaint and investigation is on.
On the same matter, Monojit Singha, executive secretary of the Newspaper Association of India (NE zonal office) has filed a public grievance complaint with the Prime Minister�s Office.
