BONGAIGAON, April 12 - All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief Badruddin Ajmal addressed an election rally today in Chirang districts Hasraobari in support of Urkhaw Gwra Brahma, the United Peoples Party Liberal (UPPL) nominee for Kokrajhar Lok Sabha seat.

Addressing the rally, in which a huge number of people gathered braving the scorching sun, Ajmal dubbed BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary as Badshah (King) and the BPF party candidate for Kokrajhar Lok Sabha seat Pramila Rani Brahma as Rani (Queen) in a tone dripping with sarcasm.

Ajmal said since Mohilary has been ruling the BTC as a Badshah, the common people were deprived of their due benefits and economic development.

Ajmal also alleged that Rani had destroyed the forests of the State when she was the Minister of this department.

Rani, we will not allow you to go to Delhi, you have to remain here, only Urkhaw Gwra Brahma will go to Delhi and we will make him minister at the Centre, Ajmal said and called upon the people of his community to cast votes in favour of UG Brahma.

Neither Modi nor Rahul can bring peace in BTC. It is possible only by our peaceful co-habitation and unity among us, Urkhaw Gwra Brahma said addressing the rally which was chaired by UPPL vice president Rwngwra Narzary.

Mohilary had not spent the huge funds released by the Centre to BTC for the rehabilitation of ethnic clash victims yet, UG Brahma alleged.

To bring lasting peace in BTC we have joined hands with the UPPL and decided to support its candidate in Kokrajhar seat, AIUDF general secretary Aminul Islam said.

To end the dictatorial rule of Hagrama Mohilary, we have to unite against them, AIUDF working president Dr Aditya Langthasa said in his address and sought the support of the people for UG Brahma.
