GUWAHATI, April 16 - A meeting of the Assam College Principals� Council (ACPC), Kamrup (Metro) zonal meeting was held at the KRB Girls� College, Fatashil Ambari here recently, a press release stated.
The meeting was presided over by Dr Rabindra Nath Das, Principal, KRB Girls� College. A total of 14 Principals of various colleges of Kamrup (Metro) Zonal district attended the meeting. The meeting was initially convened by ACPC secretary Dr Dharmendra Nath, Principal, SB Deorah College. Various issues related to Higher Education of Assam were discussed and it was resolved to take up some academic and other activities in different colleges from time to time.
A new committee of ACPC, Kamrup (Metro) Zonal was also formed for a period of two years with Dr Rabindra Nath Das, Principal, KRB College as the president and Dr Amar Saikia, Principal, Dispur College as the vice-president, Dr Jogesh Kakati, Principal, Pandu College as the general secretary, Dr Sikhamoni Konwar, Principal, Karmashree Hiteshwar Saikia College as the assistant secretary and Dr Devabrot Khanikor, Principal, Sonapur College as the organizing secretary, the release added.
