NAGAON, April 24 - Sensation prevails in Nagaon town following a case of alleged kidnapping of a college girl.
Police sources said that the girl, a resident of Fauzdaripatty Kathmill Chariali in Nagaon, and studying in Khagorijan College went missing since April 21 after she went on her scooty to her art school in the town. According to sources, the father of the missing girl lodged an FIR at Nagaon Sadar police station in this regard. In the FIR, the victim�s father stated that on that day the girl who also worked as an art teacher, went on her scooty bearing registration number AS 02N 6886 to her art school and she was kidnapped in the middle of her way by a youth named Tamim Ahmed, a tenant of their locality who is also absconding since the incident.
Though the Nagaon Sadar police launched a search operation in quest of the girl as well as the accused, yet the police were able only to detain his father instead of the accused Tamim.
