Collection of short stories released

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Dec 1 � A collection of short stories and travelogue, Yatra, written by Pratibha Baruah was released recently at a function held at Gohpur Higher Secondary School by litterateur Kosheswar Baruah.

Taking part in the function as distinguished guests, Tapan Ch Sharma, DC, Sonitpur and Apurba Jiban Baruah, SP, Sonitpur expressed the hope that the writings of Baruah would be able to enrich the literary world of Assam.

Dr Anjan Kumar Ojah, principal, Chaiduar College, and prominent poet, Jnan Pujari lauded the endeavour of the writer.

The objectives were mentioned by Rajiv P Baruah, ADC, Sonitpur, while the function was conducted by Baijayanti Borah. Paul Baruah, SDO(C), Gohpur offered vote of thanks.

Writer Barua was felicitated by Narayanpur Borkhamti village and Raonamukh Gaon Panchayat with Pharma (Cheleng chadar) and Ribi Gacheng (Bihuan). The guests were felicitated by Bijoy Lakshmi Baruah.
