GUWAHATI, Jan 29 - In a critical situation, poems are like light and inspiration in people�s lives, said noted poet Samir Tanti while releasing a collection of poems titled Anubhaber Dinraat here on Wednesday.
It is a collection of poems penned by Pramod Kumar Dutta and translated into Bengali by Dr Timir Dey.
Commenting on the work of translation, Tanti said that translation of literary work is a process which builds up the bridge between two different languages. In the present situation this book has a major significance in bridging the gap between Assamese and Bengali languages, he added.
Along with Tanti, another noted poet Anis Uj Jaman, writer Dr Shantanu Raichoudhury, Dipika Biswas, Udayan Biswas and a host of dignitaries were present on the occasion.
