Coaching camp for competitive exams held at Morigaon

MORIGAON, March 31 - A coaching camp for preparation of various examinations under Assam Public Service Commission and Union Public Service Commission was organized for the students of Morigaon district at Morigaon College.

Last year also the same type of camp was organised, from which two candidates cleared the ACS main examination. This year as many as 36 graduates are attending classes in this coaching camp. The camp was recently inaugurated by Dr Shyam Bhadra Medhi, distinguished educationist. In his inauguaral speech, Dr Medhi said that nothing is impossible if one works sincerely for competitive examinations.

He appealed to the students to be serious from the very beginning and hoped that many talented students from Morigaon district will achieve success in both the APSC and UPSC examinations.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Leela Kanta Borthakur, Principal, Morigaon College said that many brilliant students coming from various colleges of the district couldnot prepare themselves for competitive examinations due to lack of awareness. So, Morigaon College took up the challenge to hold coaching camps for interested students.

Meanwhile, several retired IAS, senior ACS officers showed the generosity by taking free classes in this camp. He thanked those well-wishers for this noble cause.
