DOOMDOOMA, Aug 23 - The seventh foundation day of the Chatra Mukti Sangram Samity (CMSS) was observed at the Doomdooma Sakha Sahitya Sabha Bhawan here on Wednesday.
The programme started with the hoisting of flag by Papu Dutta, followed by Swahid Tarpan initiated by Ranjit Duwarah. Later, Bhupendra Sangeet and speech competitions were held among the students.
The open session held later in the day was chaired by CMSS Tinsukia district committee president Lakhyajyoti Gogoi and addressed by CMSS working president Manash Konwar and secretary Bitu Sonowal.
The meeting was attended by Asom Junior College, Tinsukia director Ranjit Chowrok and the Doomdooma unit of the Asam Sahitya Sabha secretary Deben Deka as guests of honour. The prizes of the competitions were distributed in the meeting.
