CMs meet on skill development in Shillong today

SHILLONG, May 10 � The sub-group of Chief Ministers� regional consultation on skill development to be chaired by Punjab CM Prakash Singh Badal will be held here on Monday.

The objective of the meeting is to find ways to upscale human resource, especially focusing on upgrade of youths� skill by adopting scientific and new methods.

The sub-group of the CMs was constituted by the governing council of National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog earlier this year.

The members would try giving direction to the State Skill Development Missions, besides involving the private sector to help in youths� skill development and take the relationship further by providing employment to employable youths.

The sub-group include Chief Ministers of Meghalaya, Assam, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Puducherry, Tripura and Tamil Nadu, besides the CEO of NITI Aayog as the coordinator.
