DOOMDOOMA, Nov 14 - Chief Minister�s media advisor Hrishikesh Goswami today visited the residence of journalist Parag Bhuyan, who died in a mysterious road mishap that took place on Wednesday night just in front of his residence at Kakopothar.
Goswami paid tributes to the late journalist and conveyed deep condolences to the bereaved family members of Parag Bhuyan.
Later talking to mediapersons, Goswami said, �I was shocked when I got the news of Parag�s death. He was like a younger brother of mine. I had a close relationship with his family since the days when I was in AASU with his elder brother Jagadish Bhuyan.�
�As various sections expressed doubt over the mishap , the Chief Minister has ordered a CID probe into the incident,� Goswami added and urged all to cooperate with the CID team during the investigation.
The AASU general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi, Asom Jatiya Parishad leader Chittaranjan Basumatari also visited journalist late Parag Bhuyan�s residence at Kakopothar today and conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family members.
On the other hand, the Tinsukia District Committee of Asom Jatiya Parishad and Jatiya Yuva Shakti staged a sit-in strike at Dr Bhupen Hazarika Park situated at Thana Chariali of Tinsukia town on Saturday stating that journalist Parag Bhuyan�s murder was pre-planned.
Earlier, people gathered at the protest site and offered tributes at the portrait of Parag Bhuyan.
Meanwhile, the Assam Police CID team led by senior Superintendent of Police Bibekananda Das has begun its investigation. The team visited Kakopothar on Friday and Saturday.
