NEW DELHI, Sept 20 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal�s elder brother Girish Sonowal passed away at AIIMS here on Wednesday due to protracted illness. He was 69. He leaves behind his wife, two daughters and a son.
Sonowal�s brother was unwell for some time and was admitted to the AIIMS for over three months. He breathed his last at 2.10 am, as a result of multiple system failure.
His body was embalmed at the AIIMS and was flown to Dibrugarh at 10.45 am where his last rites will be performed.
