CM urges students to develop positive outlook in life

GUWAHATI, Sept 4 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today urged students to work hard to build their career and develop a positive outlook in a bid to groom their personality.

The Chief Minister made this call while interacting with students of Kumar Bhaskar Varma University of Sanskrit and Ancient Studies and Tamulpur Commerce College in the Central Hall of the Assam Legislative Assembly here.

The interaction was organised by the Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat as an exposure programme for students of the educational institutions of the State.

Sonowal called upon the students to take active part in the youth-led development initiatives in the nation. He advised the students to share the Assembly experience with their classmates and convene mock parliament in colleges to enhance their leadership qualities. He also asked the students to utilise the platform of mock parliament to discuss the problems and issues of neighbouring areas and come up with innovative solutions.

Expressing hope that the exposure visit would be a great learning experience for the students, the Chief Minister asked them to take the message of the Assembly experience to their respective institutions. �Democracy becomes vibrant when the youth become acquainted with the basic tenets of democracy and reflect the sense of unity, harmony and brotherhood in their actions,� Sonowal quipped.

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Industry & Commerce Department, etc., Chandra Mohan Patowary, MLAs of Nalbari, Tamulpur, Sonari, Tingkhong and Lahowal and Media Adviser to Chief Minister Hrishikesh Goswami were present among others in the interaction programme.
