SILCHAR, June 6 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will inaugurate Gati Dainik, a vernacular daily to be published from Barak Valley, on June 8.
This was informed by Cachar district BJP president Kaushik Rai on Monday.
Addressing mediapersons, Rai informed that the newspaper already enjoyed an illustrious legacy of 55 years of quality journalism in southern Assam.
�The paper will start its journey afresh on June 8. The Chief Minister and Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma have consented to join the inaugural ceremony,� Rai added.
