Silchar, Feb 26: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will be on a visit to Barak Valley to inaugurate the much anticipated Mini Secretariat and he is also likely to make a host of announcements especially ahead of the Assembly elections in the state.
Shekhar Dey, OSD to the Chief Minister here in Barak Valley informed that the Chief Minister would reach Silchar on Friday for a night hault following which, on Saturday, he would take part in the central function for the inauguration of the six key department based operations of the Mini Secretariat here.
The ceremonial event will take place at the District Sports Association premises, Dey added.
Later, Sonowal will visit Karimganj for a slew of events including inauguration of a power sub station and unveiling of statue of BJP leader late Rathindra Bhattacharjee.
