CM takes stock of COVID-19 preparedness

DHUBRI, March 31 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday visited Dhubri and reviewed preparedness of the administration against coronavirus pandemic.

The CM also visited the Dhubri Civil Hospital to take stock of isolation wards and quarantine facilities arranged by the district administration.

While addressing the media on the premises of DC Office, Dhubri, the Chief Minister appealed to the people of Assam to honour the request of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to maintain social distancing during the lockdown.

Sonowal said, �To fight against COVID-19 and in accordance with the appeal of the Prime Minister of India for social distancing, we should also maintain it sincerely during the 21-day lockdown period, otherwise stern action would be taken against the violators.�

Chief Minister also urged all those people who come from outside the State recently to report voluntarily to their respective district administration and police in the greater interest of overall health of people in the State.

KOKRAJHAR: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday visited Kokrajhar RNB Civil Hospital and took stock of the preparedness of the district administration against COVID-19 outbreak.

Sonowal also appealed to the people who attended the Nizamuddin event in Delhi and returned to the State to immediately voluntarily report to the nearest government hospital and to go for home quarantine.

During his visit, he also held a meeting with Deputy Commissioner of Kokrajhar Partha P Majumdar at the Circuit House.
