CM stresses on propagation of Krishna sanskriti

MORIGAON, Aug 24 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has laid emphasis on the propagation of Krishna sanskriti in the trouble-torn society of Assam, whereby all evils of the society will be eradicated.

Participating as the chief guest in the Krishna Janmastami function at Morigaon Tarun Ram Phukan playground today, organised by the Vivekananda Chetana Kendra and Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and eight other organisations centrally, Sonowal said that in the Assamese society, the sense of Krishna sanskriti was prevailing through Mahapurush Srimanta Sankaradeva. All evils in our society must be curbed through spiritualism which is prevalent in the Indian society from the time of Lord Krishna, nearly 6,000 years ago, he added.

Sonowal inaugurated the dance of 5,000 child Krishnas and appealed to the mothers of those children to cultivate Krishna culture at their homes and society. Earlier, while speaking on the occasion, Basistha Bujarboruah, vice-chairman of Assam RSS said that as Lord Krishna told Arjuna in the Bhagwatgeeta to eradicate all evils of the society, the supreme powerful God through his incarnation establishes dharma and helped the good men, the honest people must fight against all injustices of the society. Earlier, Rama Kanta Deori, MLA Morigaon welcomed all the dignataries on the dais besides several satradhikars from different satras of Assam.

Janardan Dev Goswami, satradhikar of Uttar Kamalabari Satra speaking on the occasion said that the society built by Mahapurush Srimanta Sankaradeva was based on Krishna sanskriti and the young people must be guided by high moral values to overcome all odds.
