GUWAHATI, Sept 22 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has directed State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) chairman Pradeep Kumar to conduct a re-examination for the posts of sub-inspector in Assam Police within a month.
The examination was cancelled on Sunday minutes after it commenced due to leak of the question paper.
Sonowal gave this direction while taking stock of the developments following cancellation of the exam scheduled on September 20 at a meeting held at his residence at Kharghuli in Guwahati.
He directed the chairman to conduct the examination in the most transparent manner and declare the results at the earliest. He also instructed him to ensure that no such anomalies take place during the re-examination.
Sonowal directed DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta to identify the nexus which conspired to spoil the recruitment process and punish the culprits as soon as possible.
