GUWAHATI, July 7 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today directed the Chief Secretary and senior officers to go to the flood-hit areas of the city and ensure rescue and relief operations.
The Chief Secretary immediately reviewed the situation and directed all senior officers to act promptly and provide immediate assistance and carry out rescue and relief operation. He directed the officers to ensure that adequate relief materials are provided to the people, a release said. He and a team of senior officers visited the affected areas to take stock of the situation. He directed all DCs to be on alert.
