CM opens renovated Dhubri, Golokganj police stations

DHUBRI, Aug 17 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the renovated parts of Dhubri and Golokganj police stations, which have been rebuilt under Mission for Overall Improvement of Thana for Responsive Image (MOITRI) and was equipped with state-of-the-art technology and facilities.

The Chief Minister declared that the aim of this scheme is to empower the traditional method of policing by smart policing activities and by improving the police stations, and to make the officials more dedicated to the service of people. This mission will also facilitate people-friendly environment with a modern scientific human approach.

Sonowal was accompanied by Minister of Social Welfare and Soil Conservation Pramila Rani Brahma and State ADGP Harmeet Singh and a host of other dignitaries, in the inauguration ceremony at Dhubri PS.

Lauding the active participation of the police to curb the ongoing pandemic and during the natural disasters, Sonowal said, �The helping hands of the police are always ready whenever a natural calamity occurs. They are the first one to initiate the rescue operations.�

�Even in the ongoing pandemic situation, the police are playing a great role, which is appreciable and remarkable,� said Sonowal.

He also said that in both the stations, police will play more active roles in eradicating all kinds of social evils from the society and protect the people in their respective jurisdictions in a more improved way.
