CM launches Gandhi Sankalpa Yatra in Darrang dist

MANGALDAI, Oct 16 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday launched the Asom Pradesh BJP�s �Gandhi Sankalpa Yatra� programme at Sipajhar in Darrang district as a part of the party�s nationwide campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a clean, green, plastic-free and fit India.

In this connection, the BJP workers of the Mangaldai Loksabha Constituency organised a party rally at Sipajhar Academy playground. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister appealed to the people present to get inspired with the ideology of �Bapuji� and follow the path of Prime Minister Modi to transform the State into a clean, green, plastic-free ideal place in the country. On the occasion, he offered felicitation to the family members of the local freedom fighters and also took part in a �roadshow� for a short period.

State Revenue Minister Bhabesh Kalita, Mangaldai Lok Sabha MP Dilip Saikia, BJP legislators from Sipajhar and Mangaldai Binanda Kr Saikia and Gurujyoti Das along with many senior leaders of the Pradesh BJP including Anup Barman, among others, attended the meeting followed by the several kilometre-long roadshow. The programme was organised by the party in all the Lok Sabha constituencies of the State.
