GUWAHATI, March 8 � Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has condoled the death of veteran journalist Vinod Mehta who passed away today after a prolonged illness.
In his condolence message, Gogoi termed Mehta as an upright, dignified and fearless journalist who held high the ethics of journalism. He enriched the world of journalism with his writings and his death is an irreparable loss to the journalist fraternity, Gogoi said. He has left behind a rich legacy of publications which would continue to be a source of information and inspiration to the world of journalism, and the void created due to his passing away would be difficult to fill, Gogoi added.
