CLP reposes confidence in Mukul Sangma

By The Assam Tribune

SHILLONG, Aug 27 Congress Legislature Party in Meghalaya has reposed confidence in its leader Mukul Sangma, as dissidence that erupted early this year seems to have subsided after reconciliation between warring factions.

25 of the 28 legislators of the ruling party attended the CLP meeting, held after nearly five months, party sources said.

However, the three absentees had given prior intimation about their engagement, Chief Minister Sangma said later.

He said, The members have expressed their confidence in the CLP leadership with a purpose to serve the people and address the issue of the state.

Three non-Congress MLAs AT Mondal, Limison Sangma and Ismail Marak also attended the meeting. PTI
