GUWAHATI, June 25 - The Kamrup Metro district administration, in association with the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) and the Kamakhya Temple Management Committee, has decided to organise a cleanliness programme under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in certain areas on June 28.
The drive will be carried out from 7 am onwards on that day in the Kamakhya Temple area, Naharbari, Bangshi Bagan, Bharalumukh, Sonaram field area, Sonaram field up to foothill of Kamakhya, Pandu Camp, Maligaon Chariali to Old Pandu Station, Kamakhya foothill to Kamakhya Railway Station and at the Kamakhya Railway Station.
Non-governmental organisations that are interested, have also been requested to participate in the cleanliness drive.
The district administration has also requested all government departments, educational institutions, private organisations and citizens to take up an exhaustive cleanliness drive in their respective areas.
