JALUKBARI, Aug 13 - As part of its Independence Day celebration, the 1st Battalion of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) today organised a �Swachh Bharat Campaign�� by cleaning and launching the sanitation campaign at Mirza, South Kamrup.
More than 80 NDRF personnel and 70 officials and staff from the district administration participated in the Swachh Bharat Campaign.
In order to create awareness about cleanliness among the local people and ensure their active participation in the Swachh Bharat Campaign, the 1st Bn NDRF conducted a familiarisation exercise, mock exercise, flood rescue operation and community awareness programme.
