Cleanliness drive at Satgaon

GUWAHATI, Nov 16 � In a move to translate Gandhiji�s �Clean India� dream initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Narengi Kendriya Vidyalaya Alumni Association with the help of the local people of Satgaon area undertook a cleanliness drive from 8 am to 11 am today. The drive started at Army cantonment TCP point and concluded at Patharquarry point.

Students of SFS School and Narengi Kendriya Vidyalaya also took part in the drive. Brigadier DB Pani of Narengi cantonment extended his cooperation in this drive by giving various materials for the purpose. He was also present during the drive. On the occasion, GMC commissioner S Viswanathan also extended cooperation by providing a dumper and a JCB for the drive.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Alumni Association�s president Mahesh Pradhan and general secretary Dr Rituparna Phukan said the association would next take up a plantation drive as part of �Green Guwahati Abhijan.�
