DIMAPUR, Oct 11 � Nagaland Parliamentary Secretary for IFC & Election Y Vikheho Swu has announced a �Cleanest Village Award� of Rs 5 lakh during Pughoboto Sub-division Planning and Development Board meeting held at DB Court on October 8.

The award will be given annually from Local Area Development Funds (LADF), Swu informed. With the sanitation drive beginning this year, he said the award will be given during Thuwu-ni Festival in November next year.

A committee will be constituted to carry out inspection of the cleanest villages. He also said Pughoboto sub-division has declared 2014-2016 as the �Year of economic development� with an aim to promote the standard of living and attain economic self-sufficiency.

Swu further said Thuwu-ni Festival will be celebrated at Pughoboto on November 10 next. In this connection, there will be social work on November 4 starting from 6 am to 7 pm.
