Classroom delivery enhancement training for Don Bosco teachers

GUWAHATI, June 28 - A five-day behavioural remodelling and classroom delivery enhancement techniques training for senior and senior secondary school teachers of Don Bosco School, Panbazar was conducted from June 22 to 26.

Altogether 34 nominated teachers of the school took part in the training that was conducted by E&ICT Academy under IIT Guwahati in the school premises. The five-day training programme was inaugurated by the school Principal, Rev Father Sebastian Mathew SDB.

The entire programme was held under the guidance of principal investigator of the project and senior faculty of IIT, Guwahati, Prof Ratnajit Bhattacharjee who presented his views on the importance of ICT tools and their usage in regular classrooms for better performance of students than an average classroom.

The entire training of forty hours in various dynamics was animated single-handedly by training consultant of IIT Guwahati and Managing Director of Indian Skills Academy Anjan Chowdhury. Quite a veteran and ace in his training acumen, Chowdhury initiated sessions encapsulated with activities of relevance to each topic.

The five-day programme included topics like life skills, paralanguage, listening skills, barriers of effective listening, probing skills and personality disorders.

Chowdhury also conducted a personality test for the teachers to let them identify their disorders and hone their remedies accordingly for better performance of teaching ability.

There was also much discussion on Blooms Taxonomy due to its usage in rearing an adolescent psychology to a better balanced young mind.

Participation certificates were distributed at the valedictory session of the training programme.
