City to host cricket talent hunt prog

GUWAHATI, Sept 26 - Grace India Sports Pvt Ltd and Fitness World have announced the launch of Indian Junior Players League (IJPL) T-20 Tournament (U-18) which is scheduled to screen thousands of young Indian cricketers across 22 cities in 16 States.

Finally the selected 16 State teams will be taken to Mumbai for the tournament.

The champion team will be awarded Rs 21 lakh while the runners up team will get Rs 11 lakh as prize money. The man-of-the-tournament will be sent to England to play in minor counties.

The Assam team has been named as Assam Rangers and the selection process of the team will be held from November 4 to 13. However, the venue for the selection trial is not yet announced.

Interested players have to register their names on line with a fees of Rs 5555. The organisers will provide a kit and certificate, signed by its brand ambassador Gutam Gambhir, to all the registered players.
