GUWAHATI, May 12 � A fourth semester Civil Engineering student of the Assam Don Bosco University, Manas Pratim Das has been selected as a member of the Indian delegation for the 114th Asian Science Congress, 2015 to be held in Moscow, Russia, from the second week of October.
A letter issued by Union Minister for Human Resource Development Smriti Irani stated that Das�s name has been referred by the Ministry of HRD to the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, for the membership in the Indian delegation.�
Das was present at a meeting last week chaired by the Union Secretaries of the three aforesaid departments along with Alexander M Kadakin, Ambassador of Russia, at the Assam Administrative Staff College, Khanapara, Guwahati. Das is one of the five students selected from North-east India who will attend the science congress. This was stated in a press release.
