City journalists face multiple eye problems

GUWAHATI, July 5 - Most of the Guwahati-based mediapersons are facing different eye problems like redness, dryness and regular watering, which came to light in a daylong check-up camp held at the Guwahati Press Club today. Organised by the ASG Eye Care, the free eye check-up camp was attended by over 70 mediapersons along with their close relatives.

Staff from ASG Eye Care, a unit of ASG Hospitals Pvt Ltd, Madhusudan Banerjee, Jyotishman Borah and Mohit Sharma conducted the camp.

During the camp, it was found that the journalists who work outdoor regularly face the problem of allergic eyes. They also face redness and watering of eyes.

On the other hand, the indoor mediapersons who work on computers for longer period face the problem of redness and even dryness. The experts advised the participants who work outdoor to use ultra-violate protective sunglass compulsorily and the indoor workers to use the anti-reflection coated glassed to get rid of hazardous computer radiation.
