GUWAHATI, Aug 28 - Ayursundra Superspecialty Hospital today launched its �Hand & Foot Reconstructive Surgery Unit� in the presence of senior doctors of Guwahati and practising doctors of the host hospital. Services will be available 24x7 at the hospital with inhouse senior consultants, paramedics and support services.
Renowned hand surgeon Dr Pankaj Jindal from Pune was present at the launch event. Six shortlisted and most critical patients will undergo various kinds of specialised hand and foot surgeries in the hospital today and tomorrow, according to a press release.
A hand and foot reconstructive surgery is basically a combination of three aspects of surgery: orthopaedics surgery, plastic and cosmetic surgery and micro surgery. In this surgery unit any part of the hand and foot can be altered surgically and in most cases, be restored to normalcy with complete functionality.
